Tim Griffith leads NSA beginning Latin students through group translation on individual whiteboards and prompts corrections. This is an effective exercise to get weaker students to work through a handful of sentences carefully.

2) They all work through one sentence on a personal whiteboard and submit their translations.

3) Instructor prompts corrections by referring to what each student misunderstood in real time.

4) Students who get translations correct can advance to new sentences without waiting for others.
